FAQ

How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?
You must be 18 years old to receive or purchase a tattoo in the state of Mississippi. We require a valid photo ID for proof of age. If you do not bring your photo ID, you cannot receive our services. A driver’s license, state-issued ID, or passport is acceptable for proof of age. Additionally, we do not tattoo minors with or without parental consent.
Is the ink and needle new for each client?
Yes. All ink is poured into a single-use container and disposed of after each tattoo.
How can I prepare to get a tattoo?
Always show up on time for your appointment. Drink water and stay hydrated the day before your tattoo and the day after. Avoid drinking alcohol during these times; it could thin your blood. Getting plenty of sleep the night before can help you sit calmly while you receive your tattoo. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and feel free to bring a book or music player. Take a shower before your appointment and do not wear cologne or perfume. Eat at least a few hours before you get a tattoo. Not eating can increase your risk of fainting. Finally, we cannot tattoo anyone under the influence of drugs, medications, or alcohol.
Are the artists licensed?
Yes. All of our tattoo artists and piercing artists are licensed professionals who can legally operate in the state of Mississippi.
Is there a minimum price?
Yes. Our price for a basic tattoo begins at $60.
Can I bring a friend?
You may bring a friend. However, distracting or disruptive individuals will be asked to leave. We ask that you not bring children to your appointment.
How do I set up an appointment?
Determine which artist you want to create your tattoo. Review our portfolios online or in store as a reference to help you decide. After you’ve chosen an artist, call the store or visit in person to schedule a consultation. Bring reference material for your tattoo ideas, such as photos. After your consultation we’ll schedule your tattoo appointment. All appointments require a minimum $60 deposit, which will be applied to the cost of the tattoo. Large, intricate, or custom tattoos may require a larger deposit.
How do I care for my tattoo?
Your artist will instruct you when to remove the bandage. On average, the bandage will stay on for a minimum of 2 to 6 hours. If the bandage sticks to the tattooed area, wet the area with lukewarm water until the bandage slides off. Do not pull or tug. Do not soak your tattoo in a tub. Do not let the water directly hit your tattoo in the shower. Additionally, taking hot showers can open your pores and allow ink to seep out, causing it to look faded, uneven or blotchy. To clean your healing tattoo, wash the area gently with liquid, antibacterial, unscented soap and water using clean hands. Remove excess ointment, blood, and ink. Pat dry with a clean towel. Never scrub your healing tattoo. Wear loose clothing to keep your tattoo from being scratched or pulled. Apply ointment to keep your tattoo hydrated. Commercial healing products are sold at our studio.
Do you take walk-ins?
Although we do accept walk-ins, we cannot guarantee that our artists will not be preoccupied with another client. For best results, schedule an appointment.

Some color and design variation may exist between the tattoo design and actual tattoo when applied to the body. Over time, color and clarity of a tattoo will fade from sun exposure, dispersion of pigment under the skin, and skin cell shedding. A tattoo is a form of permanent body modification that may only be removed through surgical means or by laser.
